• Private fencing lessons are provided to students only at the discretion of Coach Julie Seal and are subject to availability of club coaches and space at Valkyrie Fencing. Valkyrie Fencing Club  reserves the right to discontinue private lessons for any student at any time. 

• Private lessons are provided to athletes  only when they hold an active Valkyrie Athlete membership AND participates in Club Practices. Premier memberships are “add-on” memberships and are additional cost separate from the standard “Valkyrie Athlete” membership.

• All private lesson students must be at least USAFencing Access Members.https://www.usafencing.org/membership  .

• Please note that your private lesson slot is reserved specifically for you. Please show up early, keep their scheduled time slot, and avoid cancellations.

• All private lessons are managed via online software and it is the responsibility of a fencer/parent to manage cancellations and makeup lessons per Valkyrie Club policy.

• All Premier lesson memberships are paid at the beginning of the month. If a fencer or parent forgets to cancel a private lesson in the system it will be charged in full and no makeup or credit will be given.

• Cancellation policy:

              All private lessons must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance.

              Sometimes, it is same day cancelation is unavoidable. This type of cancellation is only allowed up to two times per fencing season                 (August 1 – July 31 each year) and must be cancelled before start time.

• Tardiness. Students are expected to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the private lesson to allow time for warming up and stretching. 

• Be sure to have water, and enough energy to make your lesson productive. Bring a notebook.

• Video is permitted of parts of your lesson (for your personal analysis) but not the entirety.
