Equipment is provided for Trial Members, but Regular Club Members must begin to purchase personal equipment for safety and success. Equipment is sold at the fencing club and members who fail to purchase basic equipment will be unable to participate in all activities that require said equipment.

Because members can come to any session, there are no "make up days" and no rebates for days that the club must close for competition attendance or maintenance or holidays.

All Participants acknowledge that fencing is a sporting activity that carries physical, mental and emotional risk like any other sports combat and martial arts activity. Participants will need to use common sense and understand that accidents and injuries do occur. Participants will need to assume these risks and follow safety protocol in order to participate. All sessions are supervised by Valkyrie volunteers and/or staff but injuries do sometimes occur, including but not limited to; sprained joints, bruises, impacts, exhaustion, concussion, abrasions, dehydration, and injuries that occur whenever children engage in athletic or rough housing activities, etc., including serious injury and death. All athletes will need to agree to be considerate of the safety of others in the class at all times and assume personal liabilities for their injuries as outlined in the waiver below. Athletes that have any health conditions that may be adversely affected by participation in Valkyrie Fencing classes/activities/events, will determine whether they are capable of safe participation for themselves and assume those risks.

All participants and their family members/associates assume their own personal risk of contracting illnesses such as but not limited to COVID-19 or any related condition or illness that may result from exposure to it or any other illness.  Participants knowningly participate in activities at Valkyrie Fencing with the knowledge that participation in any activity in public, commercial or athletic areas may result in contraction of common viruses.

Members cannot delete or discontinue their own subscriptions. You must provide Valkyrie Fencing with notice of your intent to discontinue your subscription 10 days in advance via email. This is to avoid being charged for a month you could not attend. Refunds for client negligence in providing notice will not be given.

Valkyrie Athletes must agree to a class subscription plan and enroll via the website. Any month found to have not had payment collected will be still the responsibility of the client to pay. Valkyrie Fencing will pursue owed or delinquent payments with appropriate legal means.

Parents/Spectators are NOT ALLOWED in the classroom areas due to safety. Parents may observe class by visiting our
YOUTUBE channel  This includes tournaments unless notified differently.

Parents are encouraged to fence also, and to become familiar with Safesport practice. https://www.safesport.org

Equipment sales are provided. Prices do not include tax. Our equipment is sold such that it is ready for USA sanctioned competitive use. Equipment you find elsewhere may not be.

Any personal equipment left unattended for longer than 30 days becomes the property of Valkyrie Fencing.

When personal equipment is left at the club for client convenience, it is at the owner's risk. Valkyrie Fencing does not take financial responsibility for personal equipment safety or security. If items are missing or found damaged, Valkyrie Fencing will not repair or replace them.

Athletes who attend classes and practices at Valkyrie are responsible for bringing water and any other necessary items for health or safety.

Athletes can be dismissed on the basis of behavior that is unsafe, overly aggressive, offensive, or illegal.

Valkyrie Fencing does not allow coaches other than Valkyrie Staff to teach either groups or personal lessons within our facility. Guest coaches may be invited from time to time by Valkyrie Administration for specific events.

All participants of classes and any other activities sponsored or produced by Valkyrie Fencing Club are required to sign a waiver:
