Club Policies

  • All Members MUST have a current  a current USA Fencing Annual Membership.   USA Membership provides members with personal insurance coverage as well as allowing Valkyrie Fencing Club to continue as a certified USA Fencing Club.  Go to USA Fencing to purchase either a "Competitive" or "ACCESS" Membership.

  • Members can come to any session Tuesday through Friday.  Sessions begin at 4:30 and 7:00pm.  Generally kids from ages 7 -13 come to the earlier session and older kids/adults attend the later session.  Equipment is provided for Trial Members, but Regular Club Members must begin to purchase personal equipment for safety and success.

  • Because members can come to any session, there are no "make up days" and no rebates for days that the club must close for competition attendance or maintenance.

  •  Members cannot delete or discontinue their own subscriptions.  You must provide Julie with notice of your intent to discontinue your subscription 10 days in advance.  This is to avoid being charged for a month you could not attend.  It is absolutely your responsibility to provide written notification by email or text.

  • Parents/Spectators are NOT ALLOWED in the classroom areas due to safety.  Parents are encouraged to fence also, and to become familiar with Safesport practice.

  • Equipment sales are provided.  Prices do not include tax.  Any equipment you find online is not advised.  Fencing equipment must fit well and should be new.  Old fencing equipment becomes more structurally weak.  Any older equipment use that is not club equipment will be the personal liability of the user or the guardian of said user.  Please feel free to bring in equipment that you would like to use for inspection. I will tell you honestly if it can be safely used.  Our  equipment is sold such that it is ready for USA sanctioned competitive use.  Equipment you find elsewhere may not be.

  • Any personal equipment left for longer than 30 days becomes the property of Valkyrie Fencing.

  • Sales tax is imposed on all items such as equipment.

  • Athletes can be dismissed on the basis of behavior that is unsafe, overly aggressive, offensive, or illegal.

  • Valkyrie Fencing does not allow coaches other than Valkyrie Staff to teach either groups or personal lessons within our facility.  Guest coaches may be invited from time to time by Valkyrie Administration for specific events.

  • All participants of classes and any other activities sponsored or produced by Valkyrie Fencing Club are required to sign a waiver:
